Look who's walking...

or at least he's really trying to! Robbie and I were having dinner in the kitchen - together - when Jackson decided to attempt his first steps. I was so glad I wasn't working late or at school.

I made it to Washington D.C. for the National Cancer Survivorship Conference, had a really good time, enjoyed riding the train and the subway and made it home safe and sound. I forgot how much I love to get out of town to a new one and there is truly something to be said about non-stop flights. All in all it was a successful business trip and an opportunity to sleep undisturbed for two nights in a row.

School is going well. I have a midterm this week and I am not panicked - a good sign I will pass with flying colors. I am enrolled for the Fall semester and have my plan for the Spring semester - my last semester at UMKC.

I am still trying to get over a nasty cold and my energy and humor is low. Thank goodness for the video above. I smile every time I watch it. Enjoy.

**By the way...I am acutely aware my thank you notes for Jackson's birthday are terribly late! I haven't forgotten your kindness and you will be appropriately thanked soon, I promise!!**

Catie- that video is the BEST!!! I love how proud he is of himself and I can't wait to see this in person. However, I will be sad when he no longer has to scoot to get places...

I think you don't even need to send thank you's for b-day presents and I never would have expected one. We are just glad to have shared in the day!
