Movin' on up...
This update has been a long time coming. I've been so busy with various things and was out of town for a few days last week. We have some family coming into town this weekend and after last weekend's snowstorm we are FINALLY seeing some sunshine and warmer temperatures. My parents got Jackson a zoo pass and we are eager to start using it.
Jackson and Robbie are peas in a pod. There is a very special bond there and I think this picture captures their affinity for one another perfectly.
Jackson Danger is almost a year old and I simply can not believe how quickly the last year has flown by. In two short weeks he will be moving up to the Infant 2 room so he can play with the bigger babies. Months ago, when I first contemplated that eventually he would have to change classrooms, I was nervous and sad to think about him leaving the tiny baby room. Apparently, I never considered that when he would leave the Infant 1 room he would no longer be a tiny baby.
His 9 month check-up was, wow, I guess three weeks ago. I wanted to be sure to document his milestones, so better late than never. He weighed in at 23 pounds (83%) and his length was 29 1/4" (76%)...something I was very happy to hear! He is eating and sleeping like a champ and still our happy-go-lucky little guy. Robbie and I are struggling with the transition to table foods. We don't handle the Messy Food Baby very well and tend to be a little grossed out by all the slimy remnants that don't make it into Jackson's mouth. Jackson has mastered the sippy cup (the kind with the straw) and is certainly interested in trying out new flavors and textures.
I miss him like crazy during the day and it isn't uncommon for me to receive random text messages throughout the day from Robbie with pictures of our baby boy attached.

Can I just say Ohhh...He's getting so big and that face, reminds me of another baby I once loved.
Thanks for the pictures. I was getting testy without my Jackson fix. Love, Mom
