Whatever will I do with myself...

I have an entire day to do stuff...stuff I want to do. Jackson and Robbie just left and the iPod is jamming, coffee is brewing, curtains are opened and I am ready, ready to tackle the day. I am giddy with excitement about having a day off. It's been awhile.

I am happy to report I got my lazy butt off the couch last night and went running. In fact, I didn't really even make it to the couch and I think that helped. It was already dark and pretty chilly so Robbie stayed home with Jackson. I was a little fearful I wouldn't make it without Robbie rooting me on, but I did. I only walked during one interval of running and I only walked for half of it. I feel pretty good today, sore, but good. My next run is in the morning and I will be happy to get to do it in daylight.

I have a bulletin board in Jack's room with a Special Beginnings calendar tacked to it. The calendar informed me this morning that today is Wear Your PJ's to School Day and so we sent our son to school in his PJ's. This is so incredibly silly to me for many, many reasons, but is a true testament to parenthood and what you suddenly find important for your child. The picture above is of him in his moose pj's and his new winter hat. Oh, and did you notice who was sitting up all by himself?
