Teeth: nature's weapon against insane cuteness...

It finally happened. I mean, the kid has been in daycare for nearly 2 months and you know how those daycare kids are....a pack of wild animals. It was only a matter of time until Jackson had his first run-in with a bully.

And by bully, I mean a teething 11 month old. I don't know which kid for sure (because the sweet teachers won't rat the biter out), but someone with teeth (uppers and lowers) bit Jackson Danger on the bridge of his nose leaving three red and sore looking indentations on either side of his precious, perfect little nose. The daycare ladies were having a more difficult time with this than I...

MC: "Catie, we need to tell you about an incident we had today."
Catie: "Okay..." (thinking, "seriously, what is a 4 month old truly capable of to cause an incident"?)
MC: "One of Jackson's "friends" bit him on the nose today."
Catie: "Really? One of his friends?" "I don't know about you MC, but I am not sure I would refer to someone who bit my nose as a friend."
MC: *polite chuckle*
Catie: "So...was it that kid...(picture me pointing directly to the most obvious offender) ...you know, the one with all the teeth?"

I asked how Jackson handled it and apparently he screamed while the Baby Biter was chomping down, and once the child was removed from his nose, Jackson proceeded with his daily routine of being cute.

And in true Bad Mommy fashion (as of late anyway), I did not get a picture.

What! the bully is not going to reform school! Are they going to take away his weapon teeth?

Seriously, I think you handled this well. Children do not always make good decisions, I think it's because they are, well, children.

Has Jack had a tetanus shot? Poor little guy, kind of young to already face a bully. Give him a hug and kiss for me.

TJ was bit on the cheek so hard when he was napping that it left a full set of teeth imprints and a bruise. I took a picture. When I see it I still get sick to my stomach. He seems to have grown past it and it didn't cause any permanent damage!

You handled it so well.

Love the Knight family pictures!!!

You guys are the best.

Love,

Auntie L
