Another weekend gone in a flash...

It's been a really busy weekend here in KC. Robbie and I took Jackson (along with friends Laresa and Jonathon) to the Plaza Art Fair Friday night. There were many, many people there and many, many people annoyed with the many, many other people with strollers. However...very few annoyed looks stayed annoyed looking after seeing what precious cargo we had in our stroller. For the first time Jackson was sitting facing out in his stroller - like a very, big boy. (And who's the bad Mommy who didn't take a picture??) Everyone passing us by had something to say..."Stupid baby-havers." to "Awww, look at how cute he is!!" We went by the Back In the Swing booth to say hi to my boss, Dr. K, and the wonderful philanthropists and fund-raising genius' who give me one more reason to get up and go every morning. It was a beautiful, nearly fall evening and the company we kept wasn't too bad either.

Saturday night Robbie and I went to a wedding reception for one of my co-workers. It was really nice to get to visit in a social setting with a number of my newest co-workers that previously I only very casually knew. Laresa graciously watched Jack and we never had one worry about the little guy while we were sipping our cocktails. It was nice to have some adult time. Thanks again Laresa!

Today was Get Stuff Done Around the House Day and now the baby is in bed and some chocolate cookies are in the oven. I made a big pot of delicious Chicken Enchilada Soup tonight (thanks Aunt Linda!) and am ready to settle for the evening. I'll probably check out Buddha Belly Farm to catch up with the other somewhat prolific writer in the family.

Here's another picture of Jack. He is getting so big so fast. He is now wearing 6-9 month clothing and has a lot to "talk" about. His smile continues to be contagious and I continue to fall more and more in love with being his Mommy every day.
