TGIF...
I took Jackson to the mall today. He wasn't thrilled about the trip and told me all about it. I knew he was just tired and figured he would settle down and go to sleep quickly. Instead he settled down while the stroller was moving and got upset every time I stopped to look at something. Needless to say we only stayed for about 20 minutes, long enough for me to realize I had forgotten to wear my Mom Shorts.
It felt strange to push the stroller around the mall...I felt a little like a Mommy Impostor. I waited for the Real Mall Mommies to stop me and issue a citation for not having a pony tale and choosing to wear makeup. I'll admit it, I was slightly envious of the women walking through the mall without a stroller, but only because they didn't have to weave back and forth through the mall hallways to avoid the annoyingly placed stairs scattered on either side every 10 feet or so. Seriously, why did they put those there?
Jackson crashed when we got home after a hearty 2 ounces of stinky formula. (No really, it smells so gross. Robbie experienced the stinkiness this morning around 4:30 and then woke me up so we could talk about it.) I have to admit, I am pretty tired too. Those simple outings I once made without so much of a thought now require detailed planning and accurate timing. But just look at that face...he's so worth it. At least for now. We'll talk again after the first fight about bath time.
