Finishing touches...
We finally got all of the furniture for Jackson's room. There are still a few things we'd like to put up on the walls and I continue to search for the perfect lamp for the table next to the glider (I'm thinking something orange). I also have plans to cover the cushions on the glider with a fun, colorful fabric (Mom, I need you!). In the last couple of days I've started washing tiny clothes, blankets and socks. It feels good to have the room ready for Jack, even though he will be camping out with Robbie and I for a few weeks.
Our old desk cleaned up nicely and will work well as a changing table and dresser. I will certainly add more pictures to the wall as I collect them. The black framed piece is a Hammerpress print Robbie and I purchased from the local print shop and the other yellow piece was actually a picture my grandparents bought for me when I was a newborn baby.
The shelves we put up have a collection of toys Robbie has picked up along the way, as well as my musical apple I had when I was a baby. Our goal all along was to mix it up in this room with old and new pieces and we both feel we've done a pretty good job at accomplishing this. A very big thank you to our family members who helped us create this happy space for our sweet boy.
