After all the hub-bub...
I made an 89% on the French oral exam. Oddly enough, the student who hasn't been to class for nearly 3 months (yeah, THREE) showed up at my time slot to take her oral exam. Instant partner. AND she was prepared! We had about forty minutes to practice together and thank goodness because I really don't think I would have done as well without the real time prep.
The most awkward part of the evening was when our instructor gave her a tongue lashing (en français, of course) about not returning his emails and something about being a communications major might have something to do with communicating, n'est pas? I wanted to shrink up into a little ball, but frankly was SO relieved the pressure wasn't on me.
Now all that's left of this semester is one more paper I am reluctantly writing (gee thanks Mrs. Nelson) and the 2 hour written French final. Overall, however, I feel as though a weight has been lifted. I even allowed myself a couple hours of baby merchandise research last night. A luxury I have not had the time for. I'm so ready to move on.
