Apparently I have gardening commitment issues...

Robbie and I made our weekly trek down to the City Market Saturday and with our veggies, we brought home two flats of flowers. The bush garden is now filled with flowers! Here are some before and after shots:
Robbie put up the stone retaining walls Friday night and I filled in the dirt and planted the flowers on Saturday. I think this home improvement project was a big success. Sadly, however, I purchased two flats of annuals. I just couldn't commit myself to planting anything a bit more permanent. I figure I can spend the next few months enjoying these flowers, do more research on perennial choices and then work on a more permanent bed.

The left over flowers found their way into pots for the deck. I love seeing all of the color. I am definitely an amateur gardener - but - I do love the process of getting dirty for the sake of seeing something bloom brightly. This morning I had coffee on my deck with my new potted flowers and was pleasantly surprised to see a number of new blooms on one of the plants. I guess they're happy with their new home too.

I think it looks great! Don't worry about your commitment issues, I have instant gratification issues. This is why my front bed is filled with annuals. I need the instant color to feel satisfied with my "gardening" efforts:)

Very pretty! What's not to love about annuals! Looks so much better than the overgrown bushes that were there. Love, Mom

Just beautiful! Until we get a house of our own, I can live vicariously through those that have their own gardens. . .without doing the hardwork! :)
