Say it ain't snow!
So there wasn't really enough of it to capture on my camera and a lot of it was actually sleet - but this weekend brought ridiculously cold temps and yes, snow. As I was drifting (ha) off to sleep on Friday night (quite late, I might add - around, oh, 11-ish) I was revisiting, mentally that is, the forecasted weather for my precious Saturday. Snow. I thought of the title listed above and went to sleep thinking, "Well, if it does snow, I will at least have a snappy title for my my next post." Yeah, I need to go back to school.
Needless to say, I was a little excited the snow came and I was given the opportunity to use it.
Other than that I am still packing and anxiously waiting for closing. I daydream about paint colors and landscaping and Robbie and I have had countless conversations about color and furniture and how we just can't wait. It's the grown-up version of Christmas Eve, only it's a bit more expensive and there's a lot of paperwork and phone calls to utility companies. Okay, maybe it's more like Easter.
The first time Robbie and I bought a house I don't remember feeling as stressed out about the sale actually finalizing. I've worried a bit more this time around and have felt the slightest bit of reluctance when writing checks for an appraisal and a refrigerator. That new fridge smell is only great if it's plugged into an outlet that officially belongs to you.
We're down to the final two weeks of waiting...the negotiating is done, inspection is over, and the underwriters have the loan paperwork. Oh, and we sold our old couch today. I suppose things are moving in the right direction: South about 40 blocks.
