Stella got her's back, why can't I?
I think I may be lacking in the sunshine department and waking up to snow on the ground Saturday morning did not help the funk in which I find myself. Today it's rained all day and of course this morning when it wasn't raining I didn't even think about bringing my new rain boots to school with me. Yeah, not enough to cry about, I know.
The new job is draining the life out of me and causing terrible food choices and early nights to bed. I am hoping I bounce back before I gain 20 pounds. I am officially doing my job, but with someone who can "babysit" me while I do it. Unlike teaching art to children, this job requires little to no mistakes and an insane attention to as many details as you could possibly pay attention to within a five minute period, all while the RN and doctor add to your list of things to do and the patient tells you about their grandchildren, dog, new hat, etc. etc. It's no wonder I am so tired. It has been really great though to learn some new things and actually teach a few things to my co-workers. I love to surprise people with my incredible depth of knowledge about copy machines. I may have missed my calling in life.
I suppose Spring Fever is hitting many people pretty hard this year considering the winter was so.... well.... wintry. For me, Spring brings out the crazed house hunter within me. Fortunately this Spring, (our 5th in Kansas City!!!) Robbie and I have decided to begin a search for the Perfect Home. With the decision to purchase real estate some interesting debates have ensued regarding what amenities should be on the Must Have List. So far the two things we have agreed on completely is three bedrooms and a basement. Fortunately for us it's a great time to buy and we have no reason to rush into anything. That is until our ball-buster landlord decides we either sign another lease or move!
Do you ever feel like you're on the brink of some really big life altering course? I am not sure that's what I am feeling, maybe it's more like I am on the brink of being on the brink. Although, it could just be me anticipating, heavily, my upcoming first pay check and three day weekend. Yeah, that could be it.
