Did you hear that?

It was me...breathing a very loud sigh of relief. I finally heard back from the scholarship committee and they have decided that I can keep my entire scholarship. The only catch is I can't use it until I return to school full-time. Fair enough. I am so glad I can still think of myself as a recipient. Apparently, I still have merit. Whatever that is.

In other relieving news, I finally got my test results back from my last doctor's appointment and it looks as though things are okay for now. (Ladies, it's the yearly smear in case you were wondering. Gentlemen, I will let you're lady friends explain.) I hadn't written much about all of this mostly because I just wanted to wait and see. A couple of months ago I made my yearly visit to my OB/GYN and she found some masses on my uterus and one of my ovaries. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and my doctor determined the mass on my uterus was a fibroid tumor...which are benign...but can cause an extreme amount of pain and other unpleasantries. In the last few years I had been experiencing a lot of pain but figured it was normal and just par for the course. My Mom has dealt with these for most of her life so I was at least familiar with the symptoms. The ovary thing was treated a little differently. My doctor was curious to see my pathology reports. Which turned out to be just fine. The nagging voice in my head is concerned about the future and how these abnormalities will affect fertility. I've read nearly everything and have heard the anecdotal stories and have pretty much decided that what will be will be. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Yay! I know you are so relieved about the scholarship!!! I'm glad they aren't being stinkers and letting you use it when you go back next fall! I'm glad you got your test results and that everything was good. I know that it weighs on your mind when things aren't status quo in that "area".
so happy that you can keep your scholarship and things in lady land are fine.
