Wish you were here...

I had no idea I would love Florida as much as I do. I am also trying really hard to figure out why Robbie and I have not made this trip before. We are staying in a beach house steps from the beach. I am currently typing this on the deck of the beach house, soaking in the cool breeze and soothing sounds of the ocean. I saw some dolphins this morning while having coffee on the deck! Seriously, I think we may have found a slice of heaven. We can't thank our gracious hosts enough for the invitation.

The water is various shades of aqua and it is quite chilly in the shade. The sun is warm and the sand is like sugar. It's beautiful and so relaxing. Today we went to Seaside, a quaint coastal town where they filmed some of The Truman Show. We've all decided it would be a delightful place to live and enjoy life. It's all worked out...Jason would be the local physician, Robbie would manage all the advertising and websites for the little shops and I would teach Art in their adorable little school. Sarah never mentioned what she would want to do, but I bet she would be great at owning the local ice cream shop....she is a bit of a connoisseur, after all.

Robbie and I got a bit too much sun yesterday (go figure) and so we decided today would be a good day to take a break from the beach. Today is Jason's 30 birthday so tonight we are going to Captain Dave's to partake in some seafood (I, however, will partake in whatever chicken dish is on the menu : ). I think Robbie is secretly hoping the little crab that pinched his knuckles yesterday will show up on his plate tonight.

Wish I was there too. Will there be a mother-in-law suite in your little seaside house?

Seriously, I am so glad you got to do this. Somehow, the beach life makes you slow down and recharge. It is so good for you. I miss it.

Have fun! Love, Mom
