To Move or Not to Move...

that is the question.

Well hello there, stranger. I know, it's been awhile. Robbie has been sickly all week and on top of that he had his final molar tooth pulled last Tuesday. I suppose being the caregiver seemed more important than blogging. I suppose.

School is school and it is a darn good thing I am having an "easier" semester because I am just done. I am suffering from some major University Burnout - a nasty diagnosis of a particularly strong strain. However, I love my painting class and appreciate my instructor's wicked sense of humor and laid back personality. It almost feels more like a Tuesday and Thursday morning coffee meet where we also spend some time listening to music and painting. I just finished a cityscape of the view from one of our windows. I will post it later.

So, not only do I have a nasty diagnosis of UB, I also seem to be suffering from Spring Fever. I am so sick of all the snow and cold and more snow and more cold. I spent more than I should have a week or so ago to have my car washed. Two days later...more snow. There are still gross piles of it all over the city and if you're not careful you can actually slip and break your neck on ice that still hasn't melted because it's been so cold. Yuck. I've worn my scarf and gloves everyday for at least the last three weeks. Enough is enough.

With Spring Fever...for me...comes the strongest desire to move out of downtown. It's a decision Robbie and I toy with occasionally and I think we've pretty much decided to take the next step and actually hire some movers. Again, yuck. I hate moving.......BUT........I love the idea of having once again having a garden to tend and a grocery store down the street. With me, it's usually always about money. Should we spend it or not? Is it worth it or not? Could I possibly get this cheaper or not, or hey, how about free? I am also more ready to buy my own house than rent someone else's. So, after lengthy discussions, a helpful chat with Dad and a few looks around town we've decided to take a dive. Now we just have to find the right place that will include washer and dryer hook-ups and NO homeless men who pee on cars.

We are supposed to get snow tonight. I would complain (I hate winter) but it probably won't be 130 inches of it. Still, the new garden catalogs have arrived, I have a new body (sort of), new energy and I'm ready to dig! I have about 2 inches of daffodils peeking out of my gardens. Glorious spring is coming!

I have had a great day (in spite of the fact that I had a dentist appointment). Daniel came by and actually sat with me long enough to eat a sandwich and you had a new blog for me to read and that always makes me smile! And...it looks like I'll be making a trip to KC before long to get the "Mother-in-Law room" together!

Love, Mom
"UB" does that mean Unstable Bowel?
