I still hate MySpace...

but...I could resist it no further and let me tell you why. Something very interesting happened to me...someone was looking for me.

In another life, the Louisiana one, I had many friends of which I went to church with, stayed up all night in lock-ins with, washed cars with, grew up with. I spent many formidable years in CenLa (that's Central Louisiana for all you non-Cajuns out there) and sadly when I moved away I lost contact with a lot of people I really loved and who really loved me.

The whole MySpace thing annoys me for all of the right reasons...but... and this is a big one...everyone seems to be participating. One evening I was perusing via Robbie's account and actually found a long-lost buddy from Louisiana Life. On a whim I sent her a message and when she wrote me back she told me that she had actually been looking for me.

It was one of those, wow, moments. You know the ones where you suddenly realize that you are not alone on this planet and that you do share your life with others whether you really want to or not. Someone was looking for me. I mattered to them.

You move around as much as I have and you start to think people say hello, say goodbye and then it ends. Hanna reminded me that this is usually not the case. Chances are if someone was special to you in a former life, you were special to them too.

Yeah! I can comment again. I was devising strategies as to how to usurp your comment deletion. It mostly involved Robbie being the bearer of my comments to your blog but let's just be glad it did not come to that.
