I know I put it somewhere....
I just can't seem to find it. It's almost as though I packed it away over three years ago when we moved to Kansas City. Maybe it's in the box labeled "Christmas Ornaments," or maybe it's buried under all of the pictures in the big trunk. I just can't seem to find it and I don't think they sell it on eBay.
My Christmas Spirit has disappeared and I am a little sad about it.
I have such fond memories of Christmas Past: the cardboard fireplace Mom and Dad bought while we were living in a fireplace-less concrete block of a house in Okinawa, sleeping in front of the Christmas tree at Grandma and Grandpa's with all of my cousins, Robbie's first gift to me...the pink Princess phone, feeling so incredibly welcomed by Granny & Poppy even before I knew about Robbie.
Hey Melissa....remember the midnight Christmas Eve service we attended in the biggest, prettiest church in OKC? I think that was one of the last Christmas' Robbie and I had as residents of Oklahoma. So much is different now, but why did I pack away the Christmas Spirit?
Is it time? Before heading back to school I planned card-making parties and organized volunteers to go Christmas caroling. Oh, the Christmas caroling. Talk about Spirit. Those were some of my most wonderful memories. But, I was busy then too.
Where did it go? I am sure I will find it...I don't think it went far, I know I put it somewhere.
