Kansas City is home now, but my heart likes to visit OKC...

It's so hard to get back into the groove once I've been away for a few days. Unfortunately, I have zero time to dilly-dally around. The end of the semester is here and that means I've got a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. *sigh*

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday. Dad and I managed to pull together a mighty fine meal with only one pie mishap...
I dropped the bowl I was scrapping the pie filling from into the pie crust. It splattered everywhere and mostly all over me. The consistency of the pie filling reminded me of baby vomit - but this smelled a lot better.

I suppose this was a better mishap then the pie that caught on fire. I will never live that one down.

Robbie and I were on the go for most of our long weekend and of course we didn't get to see everyone. We did, however, get to spend some time with cousin Amanda and some old high school buddies. Good times. Dad's turkey was delish - but I think the censuses is that we need to stick with the Cajun seasonings. The others just don't quite add up. Mom seemed to get a bit better each day we were there. She's moving pretty slowly and she is probably sore from laughing so much. Daniel came over to play some poker and after winning Dad's money, decided it would be kind to "pay back" Dad by sharing some of his winnings. Unfortunately, for Dad, the money we played with came from his personal stash. So, in essence, Daniel played with Dad's money, won Dad's money, and then "generously" gave back to Dad some of HIS money! And per usual, Daniel could not see the irony in this.

Robbie and I spent time at Granny and Poppy's with the rest of the family, but some of my favorite time with them is when we have them to ourselves. We usually always try to visit them right before we leave OKC and this time was no exception.

Family time is hard to make and when Robbie and I are in OKC we tend to run non-stop. I come home very tired and worn, but I am always glad we made the trip.

Funny pie pic. Did you photo that for the intention of blogging? I wonder where you've seen baby vomit lately.

You and your granny look good.

How's Robbie's new job? Best to ask you than wait for Robbies two sentences.

When the pie incident occurred, the first thing Robbie said was, "hold on, let me get the camera so I can blog about this later." What a world we live in, huh?
