Frank...

Over the weekend Robbie and I attended the annual Holy Name Faculty Pumpkin Carving Party. Robbie and I had never carved a pumpkin together before, and quite honestly, we could never really remember carving a pumpkin before, ever. So...we bought the $3 kit, took the advice of another teacher and brought a big spoon, created a design and felt confident.

The party was hosted by a fellow teacher, and I've decided that teachers make excellent hosts. They tend to think of everything! I have never seen a party so well organized.

Robbie came up with this interesting design of Frankenstein and we decided to tackle it. We argued only once and scrapped the template after carving the top of his head. We were running out of time and his right eye socket collapsed. I didn't think we would even finish! Fortunately, Robbie and I work well under pressure and we pulled through and won 1st Place in the Most Detailed category. The only thing that didn't make it on the pumpkin was a banner we were going to put under his head that said "Frank." Good times.

Wow, that is really clever looking! I'm glad you had some fun. Congratulations on winning.

By the way, be glad Halloween fell on Tuesday this year and not Monday! The little kiddies should be off their sugar high by next Monday!

So did you get a free dinner or movie for your efforts? Frank looks good and I didn't notice his eye until you said something. Nice.

I'm impressed with your pumpkin. The only thing that could have made it better was if it was somehow it was stacked on two other pumpkins like a snowman! Now that would have been the coolest:)

I really like my first grade grammar in that last post! Sorry, my only excuse is that I have been at school forever and parent teacher conferences are still not over:)
