I love organizers....
and day-planners and address books and recipe card holders...pretty much anything that allows me to fill stuff out and organize people, to do lists, plans, recipes, etc. etc. I don't know why I love things such as these - but they seriously make me want to belt out a loud, heart felt, personalized rendition of...Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Planners and address books with which I am smitten
Brown paper packages tied up with brightly colored ribbons (in perfect little bows)
These are a few of my favorite things

So, with this in mind, everyone should understand why today was such a great day! I went, as a teacher, to my first teacher supply store with my teacher friend Laura....I mean, Mrs. Nelson. Everything any teacher would want was at the "Supply Closet," except, of course, an Art Teacher. I did manage to find a great art lesson plan book that really focuses on art history integration. I also bought my very first Lesson Plan Book (actually I got that at Mardel's - but you get the drift of my excursion.) I am almost giddy about filling in all of the blank spots, unfortunately I have to wait a little longer until I am certain of dates and student names. But you better believe as soon I got home this evening I put my name on the inside cover next to the spot that said, "Teacher:" *sigh* I really am excited. Thanks Laura for the fun outing - next year will be quite eventful for MANY reasons!
Side Note:
I just noticed that I got a message on my blog from the author (Kristin Nicholas) of that embroidery book I mentioned a few blogs before. She actually complimented me on the bear and bookmark I made! How cool is that?

How awesome to be recognized by the author for your embroidery. You do have natural talent. Maybe you can model your work.
