I've made a decision...
My first blog was on Monday, today is Friday and a few blogs later I am hooked! I've thought a lot this week about how blogging can positively affect my life and this is what I've decided...
I live away from many people I care a lot about, friends and family alike. Keeping in touch with everyone at regular intervals is something I have never been very good at. So far, in the short week I have been online blogging, I have been in a kind of virtual, but regular contact with people in OKC, Atlanta and LA. How fabulous is that?!!
For me being close to someone doesn't necessarily mean seeing them everyday. However, I do like to know what friends and family are doing on a regular basis. I like how blogging allows me to share a little of my day with all of you. Things I wouldn't necessarily think to talk with you about on those rushed holiday and weekend visits. I don't want my summer to go away too quickly, but I am looking forward to using my blog while I am in school. I figure it will be a great way for, if anything, my mom to make sure I am ok on those days and weeks I am too busy to call and talk for an hour.
So, I'm sold on the whole blogging thing and I am very grateful that I have gotten to visit with some of you this week casually, like over coffee and cake. (mmmmmm, coffee and cake)
And for those of you who visit the blog just to check in on me, don't forget that I am equally as interested in finding out how your day went as well!
