What did you do at school today Catie?
Today I heard about loose teeth and how cool it would be if your house could be a Transformer...cause that means you would be living inside a Transformer.
Today I reprimanded those who bullied others and watched two kindergartners share a hug after fighting over a crayon.
Today I answered the question, "Mrs. Knight, what color is my hair?" and "Mrs. Knight what color are my eyes?" at least 20 times. (The answer 98% of the time was "brown and brown.")
Today I had a completely incomprehensible conversation with the most expressive little boy about "errflanes." When he started to pretend to be a plane and fly around the room I finally realized what he was saying - or at least what particular noun he was referring to anyway.
Today the janitor warned me that the second graders were coming down for Art. He actually said, "Mrs. Knight, I hear them coming and it doesn't sound good."
Today I spent some time with the second graders practicing how to line up quietly.
Today I had 19 third graders join me for Art class immediately after recess. It was a warm day and they glistened with sweat and told me of the many games they played and who did what and how and why. Ahhh recess....
Today I noticed a new hair trend: a side pony tail, but only with half of your hair....like you meant to have pig tails but stopped with only one. I only saw two girls share the style, and I am not entirely convinced this trend will sweep the nation.
Today the twins in kindergarten wore the exact same outfits. I was only able to tell them apart by the amount of chocolate milk one was wearing on his shirt.....oh, and towards the end of Art class I noticed the other one has an absolutely precious little dimple on his face.
Today a little boy told me that he thought I was "very beautiful."
And, today I had an excellent 8th grade class. Hallelujah, praise the Lord.
