I love meeting new people...
and soon, very soon I will get to meet Miss Magdalene Bly! My cousin Sarah had her little girl on Tuesday and all is well. I got to hear all the details about her water breaking (this was not an event she experienced with her first pregnancy) and how with her first C-Section she "felt" more than with this one. She sounded so good and ready to take on the challenge of being one Mommy to two babies.
Mostly, I got to talk to one of my all-time favorite persons, Sarah. I got to hear the absolute joy in her voice and the reassurance that her little girl is chubby cheeked and has a head full of nearly black hair and that she was going home on Friday. I haven't even met this child and I just love her already!
Sarah and I go way back. We've never lived close to one another but we've always managed to be able to pick right up where we left off. I have always loved this the most about our relationship. We have little things in common like the love of a great piece of cheescake and a really great belly laugh. For the first time in our lives we live in the same state. Of course, we are on completely opposite sides of the state, but whatever....it's still the same exact state! It makes me happy to just know she is that much closer.
Sarah is a wonderful Mom and I know she is patiently waiting to share the motherhood experience with me. Hardly a phone call or email goes by when I don't hear, "Are you pregnant, yet?" I want our kids to be close too, but for now it's your time Sarah and I will see you in a few weeks to lend you a helping, honorary Hand.
: )
Welcome to the family Maggie!
